Your First Visit

New Patient Intake

When you first enter our office, you will be greeted with the warmest of welcomes by our front desk receptionist Mary. If you haven't had the chance to fill out the necessary new patient paperwork prior to your appointment, Mary will happy give you the necessary forms to fill out before being taken back for your appointment. The new patient paperwork will provide us information such as your identifying information, health history and details about the current condition or reason for coming to our office for care. We will be glad to assist you in any way in completing these forms. These forms may also be found under our "New Patient Center" section of our website. They can be printed, filled out and completed prior to your appointment. This alone may help save approximately 15 to 20 minutes of time in the office filling out the forms.

Consultation

After the necessary paperwork is completed and we have all the initial information needed, Mary will take you on a brief tour of the office on the way to being guided back to our examination room. Once there, your vital sign data will be collected, inclusive of your height, weight, blood pressure, pulse rate and respiration rate. Following the collection of your vital signs, you will then have a consultation with Dr. Christopher Harris where you will have the opportunity to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options that will be provided here at Quint Chiropractic. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Christopher Harris to learn more about you, your condition, potential causes of your condition, as well as expectations to determine how Chiropractic care can meet your goals. The goals of your care will also be discussed during this initial consultation as well. If your condition and goals are determined to be one that may be treated and goals readily attained here at our office, the visit will progress to Dr. Harris providing the necessary examination to further assess your condition and presentation.

Examination

After your initial consultation, Dr. Christopher Harris will perform a complete Chiropractic examination testing various things, including passive and active ranges of motion of the affected area, your reflexes as well as your flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well, based on your presenting condition. Everything done in our office by our doctor or staff will be fully explained to you in detail prior to administering any of our services, and you will be given ample time and opportunity to ask any questions about anything we do prior to our doing them. Nothing will be rendered or performed in our office without your prior obtained consent.

X-Ray Studies

Here at Quint Chiropractic, we are equipped to perform digital radiographic studies, also known as digital X-rays. Depending on your specific condition, Dr. Harris may or may not take X-rays as well. Though X-rays are not performed on every patient, for those that X-rays are deemed medically necessary and appropriate, these X-rays will help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays in person, and X-rays are usually reviewed with the patient on the same day as the studies are taken. In some cases, these X-rays can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. Proper precautions are taken for all patients on which X-rays are performed, including those with present or past history of cancerous conditions as well as those patients who are actively or could be actively pregnant. Please let our staff or Dr. Harris know if either of these conditions are present at the time of your examination.

Report of Findings

After all information from the initial intake and examinations has been collected and performed, Dr. Christopher Harris will give you a detailed report of all findings and all efforts will be made to answer any questions you may have including:

  1. What is causing my discomfort?
  2. Can you help me?
  3. How long will treatment take?
  4. How much will treatment cost?

After reviewing your health history, your goals for treatment, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Christopher Harris will discuss recommendations and notify you if your specific condition requires any co-management with other providers or specialists. Dr. Christopher Harris will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs as services in our office allows, but also is happy to work with other providers in the area if need be to address your specific concerns and condition.
